Organized Chaos

I met artist Min Yoon at an English-teaching gig last summer. We spent one week together at a teen camp being supervisors/camp counsellors/surrogate parents to 35 kids. There’s something about this kind of intense experience that can really make two people bond, and that’s exactly how it was with Min and me. Later on last fall Min made their show ‘Dancing With Violence,’ which I was honoured to participate in as a movement researcher.

Next week, Min and a group of five other artists I have never met- Gian Mellone, Jessica Gaynor, Lainey Molloy, Bill Roberts, and myself- will come together to create “Quick, raw, frantic, politically motivated, and uselessly demotivated beautiful pieces by a temporary collective of 6 artists over 3 days,” culminating in a showing on 13 April at 19:00. While I really have no idea what to expect from the three-day residency, I can say that I am thrilled to take part as it is a chance to create in an exciting way, meet and work with new and familiar faces, and perform!

Come join us for our show ‘Organised Chaos’ on 13 April at 19:00 in Kreuzberg 🖤
